'Allegheny' Class Sample Model Three

Kohs H-8
UP

An underside view of the most unique part of the Allegheny, the trailing truck. Did any other prototype use a six-wheeled trailing truck? Notice the complete brake rigging even on the trailing truck. Also notice that the ash dumps are fully rigged and functional, they are controlled by the prototypical lever that extends up in front of the firebox. All axles are correctly tapered in the mid-section and run in miniature ball-bearings.
