The German BR50 locomotive was a little known project that Lionel undertook as part of the scale model development plan it arranged with Fine Art Models. Most of the models were actually exported to Germany for sale, but a few were distributed in the United States. Part of the project was again a limited edition poster promoting the project and accompanying each model upon delivery. This is one of the most sought after pieces of Lionel 'paper' for serious collectors.
